“DofE a Akadémia veľkých diel sú programy, ktoré budujú generáciu sebavedomých a rozhľadených mladých ľudí zodpovedných za seba a svoje okolie. Účastníci DofE si môžu aktivity Akadémie zvoliť ako cieľ v oblasti rozvoja zručnosti či v dobrovoľníctve. Akadémia prináša mladým ľuďom štruktúrovanú formu skúsenosti, rozvinie schopnosť lepšie sa vyjadrovať a kultivovať svoj charakter. Dofáci, ktorí si zvolia Akadémiu do svojich aktivít, ”majú šancu získať výnimočnú skúsenosť.”
